We recently had the chance to chat with Chase Pollock about landing his role on “Mount Liptak”, portraying his character, upcoming projects, and more!
1. How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?
I’ve always loved entertainment and caught the acting bag after performing in the musical Annie when I was 10 years old.
2. How did you land your role in “Mount Liptak”?
I taped for the role and then was fortunate enough to read directly with the director Ryan Allsop. We had a great connection, I loved the script and the idea of being part of a film based on a true story.
3. What is the film about?
The film is about underage servicemen in World War II and I play Lester Liptak. The film follows his journey leading up to enlistment, his life, his struggles and his love for his family.
4. How would you describe your character.
I would describe Lester as hard-working, brave and determined. He sacrifices for his family and is mature beyond his years.
5. What is the most challenging part about playing your character?
This was a truly dramatic role. Each day on set was a challenge to bring a different kind of emotion to each scene. I enjoyed overcoming that obstacle and I feel like I really grew as an actor being part of the film. I was also surrounded by a great cast and we all really supported each other day to day.
6. How is this project different from others that you’ve worked on previously?
The film is based on a true story. It brings a different perspective when you’re playing the role of a real person. It was an honor for me to have the opportunity to play the role of Lester Liptak.
7. When and where can fans watch the movie?
Right now the movie is on the film festival circuit, so it will be a while until it formally releases. Keep up with all the festival screenings and latest news on my Facebook page.
8. Do you have any other upcoming projects?
It’s pilot season, so I am in the process of auditioning for some interesting, fun and unique projects!
9. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not acting?
I love to get out in nature and trail run. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and playing video games.
