The latest news and interviews about Hollywood's rising stars

We recently had the chance to speak with Brooke Hyland from Dance Moms! During the interview, Brooke talks about her fans, inspirations, dancing, and more! Make sure you check it out below!

1)When did you realize that you wanted to become a dancer?

My mom danced at Abby’s when she was younger, so my mom put me in dance when I was 2 years old, I was too little to realize I wanted to dance. I think I really realized I wanted to be a dancer when I quit dance for cheerleading and missed dance and just all the people on my team!

2) What is your favorite type of dance?

My favorite type of dance would have to be acrobatics, but due to my back injury, I have been limiting myself with the acro tricks, so I’ve really started liking lyrical.

3) What do you do to get ready to go out on stage?

To get ready to go on stage we have to do our make up, hair, and costuming. We have to stretch and make sure we’re warmed up! Then we’ll run through our dance routine several times, and we’re ready to perform!

4)What is your favorite song to dance to?

I don’t necessarily have one specific song I like to dance too, but I’m more into slower, pretty, lyrical songs.. rather than fast, upbeat, jazz songs!

5)Do you have any upcoming projects?

We are in the process of filming season 3 and there are lots of surprises!

6)Who are your inspirations?
Sutton Foster is one of my big inspirations.. she is an amazing dancer, singer, and actress. She has been in movies and broadway shows! I was actually lucky enough to meet her backstage at one of her shows.

7) Is there anything you would like to say to your fans that are supporting you?
To my fans, I love you so much, I really appreciate the support you give to me! When I’m having a bad day and I go on Twitter and Facebook and see the sweet things you say to me it really boosts my confidence. I couldn’t thank you enough!

8) Where can your fans find you on Twitter and Facebook?
