Interview With Emma Elizabeth (@det_ee)
1. How did you get your start in the music industry
I got my start in the music industry when I was 13 years old when I attended an event in Orlando Florida where Disney and Nickelodeon stars come down and help a few hundred kids with acting, singing, dancing, and even modeling. It was called The Event.
2. Can you tell us about your song “My Own Happy Ending”?
My music on SoundCloud right now are just a few songs from my up in coming album “In Spite of You.” The whole album is about rising up from a difficult situation and moving forward with life and not letting other people hold you back. I am hoping it will inspire other people to never let a single person old them back from living their life.
3. What inspired the song?
My favorite song so far that is out on SoundCloud and itunes would probably be “In Spite of You.” This song is really important to me because I can relate to it in many different ways. When I was in high school I didn’t have many friends and was an outsider and I would let certain people get under my skin. However, I realized that I wasn’t going to let people get to me like that and I was going to just live my life in spite of them. So that is probably why that song is my favorite and so important to me.
4. What was the recording process like?
I have many different things that inspire my music to be honest. The most would probably be when I go or see someone else go through a difficult situation I just write my emotions out in a song. To me heartbreak and loss can sometimes develop into the best types of songs and can turn into something beautiful. I get my inspiration also from nature and alone time with myself.
5. Who are your favorite artists?
6. What are your social media accounts?
