We recently had the chance to chat with the lovely Kacey Fifield about getting started in the entertainment industry, working on Nickelodeon’s series “React to That”, upcoming projects, and more!

1. How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?

Since a very young age I loved entertaining my family and friends.  When I was seven I kept asking my mom for acting lessons and she signed me up with a local acting school.  A few months later, I went to an IMTA talent competition in New York, won a few awards and got scouted by a few managers and agents.  When I turned 8, my family moved to LA and the rest is history 🙂

2. What was your first project?

My very  first project was a short film called “The Cynicism of Harvey Kay.” It was such a fun project and I was lucky to meet Daniel Roebuck who played one of the main characters.

3. How did you land your roles on Nickelodeon’s series “React to That” and YouTube “Kids React”

I auditioned for “Kids React” when I was eight and the producers asked me to come in to film a pilot episode.  They liked my reactions and hired me to be a part of the react family.  I have been on the show ever since.  “React to That” was a television version of the YouTube series.  It was so much fun to film as we had games and challenges in addition to video reactions.

4. How would you describe them?

I get to play myself! It’s super fun reacting to different videos, games and foods!!  I love the fact that I am Kacey and I can express my own opinions.

5. What has been your favorite episode to film?

I have been in so many episodes that it’s hard to chose.  But I really loved the episode with the pizza slap challenge.  It was way too funny.  Two of us slap each other’s faces with pizza to see how many slaps we can get per minute!  It sounds a bit violent, but it wasn’t.  It was super messy though and so fun.

6. What is a behind-the-scenes secret that you can share with us?

One of the secrets is that we film our reactions separately unless we are teamed up.  And we can’t share what we have watched until the episodes air.

7. When did you start gaining a significant amount of followers on your social platforms?

There were a couple of different instances.  First, “Kids React” is watched by millions of fans so once I have established my social media accounts, those fans would start to look me up and follow.  Also, when I have released my first single, “When I grow up”, I have gained some followers through linking my social media under my music video.  And when I was on Game Shakers on Nickelodeon, my followers started picking up. I truly appreciate every single person who follows me and all my followers mean so much to me.

8. Which is your favorite to use?

I love using Instagram the most. I have so many friends on there and it’s really easiest to use.  It seems to be the best platform for my generation.

9. How can a fan get your attention on Twitter, etc?

A fan can get my attention by liking, commenting and sharing my posts. They have to be kind and  sweet! I try to notice as many people as possible and I usually like people’s tweets/posts to me.  I try to answer comments on my posts to interact with fans and get to know them.

10. How would you describe your music?

My music is mostly pop with some dance elements.  My songs are a variety of different styles but I always base my songs around inspirational messages!  My songs are there to spread kindness and encourage people to stay strong and positive.

11. Do you have any upcoming music?

Yes I do! I just released my new song and a music video for “Won’t Give Up” .  I wrote it with my music producer, Ricardo Padua.  I’m always working on new music. I have a new song currently in the works!

12. Do you have any other projects that you would like your fans to know about?

I’m always working on new acting and modeling jobs. Nothing I can reveal yet, but let’s just say some things are in the works 😛
