Interview With “The Haves and the Have Nots” Star Geovanni Gopradi! (@Gopradi)

We recently had the chance to chat with star of “The Haves and the Have Nots” Geovanni Gopradi. During the interview, Geovanni talked about getting his start in the entertainment industry, working on the show, a typical day on set, upcoming projects, and more!
- How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?
I was battling stage fright while intending to study law and acting class seemed like a good way to overcome that obstacle. And here we are.
- How did you land your role in the “Haves and the Have Nots?”
As I have with all my roles, I auditioned 🙂
- What was your reaction like when you found out you got the part?
Ecstatic and erratic with the prospect of leaving the following day to Atlanta for a month.
4. What is the show about?
“The Haves and the Have Nots” is a prime time cable drama series written by Tyler Perry, focusing on the interacting lives of the Rich Cryer and Harrington families, and the poor Young family. Hanna Young, a struggling maid working for the Cryers, is a woman who was not the best person in the past but is now a woman of faith. But her faith, and her resolve are tested when she finds out that her promiscuous daughter, Candace Young, (To whom she tries desperately to avoid) has included herself into the lives of her mother’s employer Jim Cryer and his Family.
- How would you describe your character?
Broderick is eager to aquire his idea of the American dream through questionable methods.
- What is a typical day like on-set?
I arrive, have breakfast, go through hair and make up and then ten minutes before I step on set, I get dressed and mic’d.
- What is something that most viewers wouldn’t know about the show?
The entire crew makes us feel like part of the family.
- What has been your favorite episode to film?
My very first episode. It was so exhilarating because of the speed in which Tyler Perry shoots, which is very fast. So I had no recollection of my performance when it was done.
- Do you have any other upcoming projects?
Yes, I am directing another short film very soon, which I am very excited about.
