Interview With Actress Calah Lane!

We recently had the chance to chat with actress Calah Lane about working in the entertainment industry, filming with Anna Kendrick, upcoming projects, and more!
- How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?
I started acting when I was 4 year old for the Annie Kids theater production in Dallas, TX. I auditioned and landed one of the lead roles. Since then, I’ve been signed with two Texas agents and last year signed with an LA agent. I landed my first SAG commercial at the age of 5.
- What was your first big project?
My first BIG feature film project is an untitled film starring Anna Kendrick. My role is the daughter of one of the lead characters. It is a international film that was filmed in the Dominican Republic. It was my first time out of the country and I had an incredible time filming and meeting new people there.
- Who are your acting inspirations?
My acting inspirations are Michael Jackson ‘The Wiz’ , Anna Kendrick: ‘Pitch Perfect’ China McClain: ‘A.N.T. Farm’, and Dove Cameron: ‘Descendants 1 and 2’. They
really inspire me to be a better actress.
- What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about acting is meeting new people, being a positive influence, and seeing myself on the big screen!
- What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
When I’m not acting, I like to play with my sister, travel, and have family time. I also like to go to the beach and bury myself in the sand!
- Do you have any fun summer plans?
This summer we are going to the zoo in San Diego. I’m going to see a lot of animals and I get to stay in a hotel. Also, I will be taking a summer class for Fashion Design. I’m very excited about that!
- What are your goals for 2018?
My goals this year are to make clothes for fashion models, make toys for Kids with Cancer, and meet Zendaya, Zac Efron, Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, and the cast of ‘Greatest Showman.’
- Are you currently working on any other projects fans can look forward to?
I am currently on a TV show called ‘Kidding’ that airs on the ShowTime Network. You can see me play the role of the daughter of a truck driver who is going through hard times. I just recently completed filming a new movie called ‘Against All Enemies’ and the new Back To School Wal-Mart commercial.
