Interview With Singer Isabella Leon!
We recently had the chance to chat with singer Isabella Leon about getting started in the industry, working on her upcoming single “Dance With Me”, and more!
- How did you get your start in the music industry?
When I was 3 years old, I told my mom I wanted to be on the Tv screen. At age of 4, my mom took me to go see “Annie” on Broadway, I cried because I wanted to be on stage not in audiences.
- What inspired your upcoming single “Dance With Me?”
The inspiration for my song is inspired by all the powerful women in my life, from my mom, my grandma, my aunts, my cousins and friends.
- What can fans expect to hear on the track?
They can expect to hear a pop ballad song, that expresses what it’s like to be a strong Independent girl in our society today.
- What was the writing and recording process like?
It was amazing experiences, I was so happy leading up to the big day. It hit me when I was riding my bike like all my hard work paid off. I couldn’t have done it without the support from my parents, my manager and team. I accomplished a lot, I learned how to ride a bike a day before the shoot.
- What do you think fans will take away from the song?
I hope that it inspires young girls to break out of their mold, and take charge in living life to its fullest.
- Can you tell us about the song’s accompanying music video?
The video features my best friend Nicole Lemus, who I meet on this app called Musically. Nicole was being bullied online while broadcasting live on the app. After I saw all the hateful comments, I knew I had to stick up for her, little did I know a friendship will blossom from this. Now we are inseparable and I’m so happy she was able to represent girl power in my music video.
- When and where will the song and music video be released?
You can listen to my song on Spotify and Youtube, you can also purchase it on Itunes.The music video for “Dance with Me” will be released Wednesday, July 11th on Youtube. It will also be available on Insta TV.
- Are you currently working on anything else fans can look forward to?
I have so many things planned for the future. I have a couple film projects I am working on at this time, I look forward to sharing more about it in the near future. My biggest future goal is to create a non-profit organization called “Sprinkles” where twice a year, fellow creators and I, come together to throw a huge birthday party for kids in unsheltered communities. Everyone deserves sprinkles on their birthday.
