Interview With Psychic Medium Patti Negri! (@PattiNegri)
- When did you realize that you possessed psychic capabilities?
I was just a toddler when I started to communicate and “talk” with the other side. I didn’t even realize that it wasn’t the normal thing to do. I would have real conversations and get real information. The so called “imaginary friends” little kids have were not all imaginary! I was intrigued with the other side and with dead people – and not necessarily in a “scary” way. There were good spirits and not-so-good spirits – but I discovered early that this was our living people world – so I didn’t have to be TOO scared. I did my first séance when I was seven or eight years old. I took my best friend into our dark hallway, put towels under the doors to block any light that might seep in… then, realizing I didn’t know any dead people, I tried for Marilyn Monroe and John. F. Kennedy! The only dead people I had ever heard of. I intuitively came up with the right chants and words to say and summon them and within a few minutes our windowless hallway filled with orbs and lights! They were flying around from every corner! Of course, being proper little girls – my friend and I ran out screaming… but inside I was jumping for joy! It was real! And equally important to me – it was something I could guide and control. I never figured out if it was Marilyn or John (I highly doubt it) but thus, my other-worldly journey had begun.
- Do you think anyone has the potential to be psychic, or is it something only some people can practice?
Yes, I think everybody has the potential. Not all at the same level perhaps – but everyone can develop their psychic ability. Just like anyone can take piano lessons – not everyone can become a concert pianist… but it is GREAT to know how to play a little! In fact, I think most little kids DO tap into their gifts… but then the magic often gets taught out of them as they enter the world of logic – and their special friends become imaginary. If I had kids, I would teach them to dance between the two worlds of logic and intuition. Their right brain and their left brain. I think almost all artists do that. Whether fine artist, actor, dancer or musician – it is amazing how many of them also have psychic abilities and use them in their art – whether they focus there or not, it’s what they are tapping into for their creations.
- What is your favorite part about your craft?
My favorite part of my craft is seeing a “light bulb” come on in people’s brain when they see a new, empowering way of looking at things. Whether it is a perception shift or learning a simple new way to direct their energy to create a happier life or change a situation. For the fulfillment of our heart’s desires we need the willingness to step out of our cocoon of false beliefs and any limitations that appear to be sabotaging our efforts. The choice is ours, and it is greatly dependent upon how we view change: as an opportunity to release our fears and insecurities or as a challenge we prefer to avoid.
When the exploration of consciousness is interwoven with the unfolding of events in our everyday lives, we have made a conscious choice to discover and live our limitless potential. Our dreams really CAN come true! And, it is as easy as we allow it to be – or as hard as we make it. Let’s go for easy!
- How do you like to employ your gift to create change?
I see people privately in one-on-one sessions. I teach workshops, I speak at events, I do consulting and I do a lot of television. I combine my psychic abilities, my mediumship abilities – and my magickal energetic practice into something I just call Practical Magic. I coach, I create simple techniques, spells and thought patterns that anybody can do to improve your day to day life and help you live a magical life every day! Everything is a combination of Mind, Body and Spirit to create the shift, open the door, enhance the opportunity, see a new perception to move forward in the direction you want with a bit more grace, ease and enjoyment as you manifest the life you want! From how to deal with difficult relationships, your own personal blocks, fears and limitations, to how to develop your own psychic ability and intuition and to tune into your own guides and deity. Who has the power? YOU do! (If not… who or what have you given it away to?) I help teach you how to be the master or your universe. The architect of your own life.
- What has been the most rewarding experience you’ve encountered as a result of your talent?
Oh, that’s a tough one… the list is long! Whether helping a grieving parent deal with the death of their child by getting real understanding, connection and closure – to the practicality of a spirit literally giving me their I phone code so their family could get the photos and videos off the phone. The many times spent turning seemingly “cursed” or haunted houses or businesses into spaces of harmony and abundance or working one-on-one with someone, so they know they are truly worthy and deserving of a beautiful romantic love in their life. Everything that empowers people with love and light and connection is rewarding to me – no matter how little – or grand it may seem.
- What is something most people wouldn’t know about psychics?
Wow, if there is a general concept – I think it would be that the path “chose us” as much as we chose the path. And that we are driven to help people with our gift. I am talking the real / legit psychics here… not the street corner variety – which so often (whether gifted or not) main focus is money and control. Light workers, psychics, intuitive, mediums – whatever the title… are following a higher path so they truly can help people!
- Do you have any upcoming projects you can share with us? Yes, lots! I have a new book coming out! “Old World Magic for the Modern World” Tips, Tricks and techniques to Balance, Empower and Create a Life you Love! I have several TV projects in the works, a new podcast – and appearances on some of the regular shows I work like GHOST ADVENTURES on the Travel Channel!
