The latest news and interviews about Hollywood's rising stars

We recently had the chance to chat with Kelly Needleman about becoming a filmmaker, working on feature film “Lost Visibility”, upcoming projects, and more!

  1. How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?

Around 2 years ago my parents bought me my first camera which sparked a strong passion for photography. I gravitated towards nature and the beauty and started taking landscape photos. From there, I filmed travel videos depicting my adventures. For me, photography was a natural progression into the film industry.

  1. What inspired you to become a filmmaker?

The desire to tell stories and document what the world/people had to offer. The potential to create a visually stimulating piece of art that brings the viewer into that world and provoke emotion.

  1. How would you describe the work that you do?

I am a director, producer, actor, photographer and entrepreneur. The past year I have been creating travel/experimental films, but recently I have been gravitating towards directing scripted movies.

  1. What about nature do you find so intriguing?

Spending time in nature allows me to forget about everything and truly live in the moment. I believe it is important to explore the world and discover the hidden gems and magic that surrounds us. Taking time to appreciate one’s surroundings is a gift and I feel fortunate that I have been able to experience other countries and culture through my travels.

  1. What can you tell us about the film you’re directing this summer?

Currently, I am in pre-production for my feature film “Lost Visibility”. The logline for the film is: Maybe they weren’t as close as they thought they were. Three friends share intimate dreams that bring their secrets to reality. The movie is in the genre of Teen Drama, Mystery, and physiological thriller. Pre-production is a very long process, especially when making a feature film. I am in the works of casting very talented and passionate actors. I have created social media for the movie as I plan to keep my audience updated with the progress of the film on a weekly basis. https://www.instagram.com/lostvisibility/

  1. What are you most excited about?

I am excited to continue to learn something new each day and be inspired by other filmmakers and creatives in the industry. I am looking forward to the journey and trying to appreciate each step of the way.

  1. Have you directed other films before?

Yes, some of the latest films that I have directed are “Lucid Visions”, “A Magical Journey Within”, and “My Identity”.
