- How did you land your role on Superman Meets Batman? What was the audition process like?
I had met the director through my good friend Alex Osmond (who actually plays the Bartender in Superman Meets Batman). I then filmed a 50 Shades parody with them both for KISS105’s Kyle And Jackie O show. A few months later Kacey called me asking to read for the Role of Lois Lane because he said that his wife made the suggestion. I read the script and agreed to a table read with Troy who was already cast as Clark/Superman. We all really connected and I was cast as Lois Lane.
- How would you describe your character?
Lois Lane is confident, resourceful and assertive. There have been various depictions of this iconic character however when workshopping this with the Director we wanted to ensure that Lois was determined and strong willed yet kind hearted.
- What was your favorite scene to film?
The scene where I take Clarke to the Bar and meet Bruce. We had the whole Marble Bar at the Hilton Sydney to ourselves such a Gorgeous location. The Energy in the room was electric when we were all working together. We just had so much fun. I was having too much fun I shattered my iPhone screen- I was using my iPhone as a prop and mid scene i turned the phone face down on the marble counter top and the screen shattered! I was a little shocked but the scene had to go on.
- What was it like getting to work with such an esteemed cast?
By the end of the shoot we called the cast and crew for that production the Dream Team. And we have gone on to shoot other projects together like Secrets which aired on Amazon prime video.
- How was working on that project different from other projects that you’ve worked on in the past?
It was a more collaborative approach as opposed to being on a network show. Troy, Alex and I had a lot more creative input with the the Director Kacey which was really exciting. We built such a tight bond and work seamlessly together.
6. Who have been your other favorite actors to work with in past shows or films?
Rachel Griffiths in Camp, David Wenham in Better Man, Aaron Pederson in Bad Karma & Ioan Gruffudd in Harrow.
- Are you working on any other projects you’d like to share with us?
I have just been cast in Bayrock Films’ upcoming thriller feature film. I can’t release any further information just yet, other than we commence filming later this year 😉
- What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Martial Arts Training, Going to the Beach, Taking my Pomeranian out for a walk or bike ride (Louis is small enough to fit into the basket). And watching the latest films at the cinema or plays & musicals shows at the theatre in whichever city I’m in at the time.
- Do you have any goals for 2019?
To continue improving my craft – as an actor you can never stop learning and pushing yourself to the next level.
Also my side hustle is my outdoor Fitness Kickboxing Bootcamp called Killer Body Movement.I’m focusing on growing that because it’s really fulfilling being able to empower people to fight for the healthiest and happiest version of themselves. I teach them how honor their bodies through healthy habits and MMA style fitness. I feel that it’s important because it’s not just about achieving their dream killer body but also developing what I call a “Warrior Mindset” so they have the strength to handle life’s everyday battles.
