The latest news and interviews about Hollywood's rising stars
  1. How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?

My mum’s friend told us she was taking her daughter to an acting agency and asked me and my mum if we wanted to go as well.  My mum asked me, I said yes, got my first role as a lead in a short film, loved it and I’ve been doing it ever since.

  1. What was your first big role?

My first big role was in a feature film that was unfortunately never finished, I had such a good time and got to work with some incredible people on that set.  Besides that my other first big role would be in ‘Magdala Rose’, I got to work along side Rowena Wallace and Joss McWilliam & with so many other talented people. It was really a great experience.

  1. Who were your inspirations growing up?

Growing up I was really inspired by Ariana Grande and Alicia Vikander.  I was inspired by how Ariana was always constantly putting love into the world (around 2011 I remember writing ‘plant love, grow peace’ all over my school planner) and as the years went on and she got more recognised how she handled and continues to handle herself when she’s getting hate on ever social media platform.  I really love and admire how Alicia almost completely transforms into her characters, you don’t see Alicia Vikander acting on screen, you see Vera, Gerda, Lara, Gaby or Ava and she is so honest with her performances. I think she’s incredible.

  1. What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?

The best advice I’ve ever received is from an acting teacher I’ve worked with and that’s ‘there’s a role out there perfect for everyone, you’ve just got to work hard and wait for it’ and I think that’s 100% true.

  1. What has been your favorite project that you’ve worked on so far and why?

When I was younger, I worked on a fairy tale inspired short film and we were in the middle of a forest, in the middle of the night and we were all working but also laughing and eating those little sherbet stick things. It was a really great time.

  1. What is your dream role?

My dream role is Anya in Anastasia if they ever made a live action.  Being a superhero is high on my list too!

  1. Do you have any upcoming projects you’d like to tell us about?

I am going to be apart of a new web series that if filming later in the year.  I really love the character so it’s going to be a lot of fun to work on. I can’t say much about it right now.

  1. What do you find to be the most challenging part about navigating the entertainment industry as a young person?

Something that is challenging is making sure you’re not being manipulated or taken advantage of.  Being young and not having a lot of life experience, sometimes you may not notice if something sketchy is going on.  It’s important to always be on guard to keep yourself safe.
