1. What can fans expect from your upcoming single “Wine & Roses”?

Expect the unexpected muahaha. But really, it’s a jam. It’s my piano, with insane production plus real ass feelings.

2. What do you think fans are going to take away from the song?

I hope everyone takes away whatever they need to in the moment. That’s my favorite part about music, the freedom of the listener to have their own interpretation and inspiration. Just know that, we all hold on to our past and it can stick with us and help shape us into the person we are, good and bad. Just keep moving forward and let your past guide you, but not define you.

3. What has your transition into a solo artist been like?

WELL. It’s been interesting for sure.  There are ups and downs to the whole process and it’s taken some getting used to. Having all of the pressure just on me can be stressful, but I’m learning. I miss my band, but they’re still in my life and super supportive. I’m loving where I’m at at this point though. I’ve learned to say screw it. I’m trying to unapologetically do exactly what I want to with my music and to go with my gut always.

4. What inspired you to take that step?

I had been thinking of being a solo artist for years, but always wanted to put my full attention into the band. Last year, Royal Street decided to end things (on good terms). We had been at it for a while and it was time to hang that chapter of our lives up. People kept asking me if I was done with music and I was like, uhhh never ever ever. It’s a year later now, and I’ve taken my time to release the first single, but after this there’s no stopping me.

5. What is the biggest thing you’ve learned about yourself throughout the process?

I’ve learned that I know what I want and I have to trust it. From being in bands for years I’m so used to clearing things with other people and vibe off of their energy and collaboratively make all of the music and decisions. When I first started doing solo stuff, I’d be asking all of my friend’s opinions about every step of the way, and then I realized I knew the answer to every question. Why did I keep having to reach out for confirmation? Now I’m at a point where I make the decisions I want to make and try my hardest not to look back or re analyze details too hard.

6. When and where can fans purchase and/or stream the single?

June 7th, Wine & Roses will be out on all streaming platforms! Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, you name it.

7. Will you be releasing a music video to go along with the single? If so, when?

YES. The video is super friggin cool and is coming out on June 21st.

8. Do you have any other upcoming projects you’d like to share with us?

Just keep your eyes open! I have so many songs in the works, and a few that will be released over the summer ( and maybe even another video). I’m a nut and want to release all of the new music I can, follow my journey.
